Downtown Kearney is always proud to host the UNK Band Day Parade!
Over 20 schools were led by the UNK Pride of the Plains Marching Band and included (in order of performance): Kearney 8th grade, Ogallala Middle School, Axtell, Kenesaw, Wilcox-Hildreth, Arcadia, Exeter-Milligan, Stapleton, Parkview Christian, Amherst, Wood River, Gibbon, Ravenna, Twin River, Elm Creek, Yutan, Dundy County Stratton, Grand Island Central Catholic, Centura, Kearney Catholic, Holdrege, Broken Bow, Cozad, Milford, Grand Island Senior High, North Platte and Kearney High School.
Kearney High School took top honor winning the Sweepstakes Trophy, Outstanding Color Guard and Class AA. Other honors can be read here.
